Claims Communication Specialist

DUTIES

This position is responsible for the research and response to all written claim inquiries and appeals, ensuring appropriate benefit determinations are made based on DDOK processing policies and guidelines, and a response is provided within required timeframe. Also responsible for preparing documentation for dental consultant review and communicating with consultants regarding determinations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous insurance, dental office, or benefit administration related experience
• Proficient using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  
• Ability to data enter 6000 KSPH alpha & 7000 KSPH numeric
• Ability to type 40 WPM
• Ability to score 35% or more on Proof Reading test
• Ability to score 70% or more on Customer Service skill test
• Ability to score 55% or more on Grammar - Business test
• Ability to score 80% or more on Spelling - Business test

Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following:

• Knowledge of Delta Dental processing policies
  
• Knowledge of ERISA laws
• Previous grievance resolution experience
