Customer Service Specialist

DUTIES

Responsible for supporting the entire Customer Service team of employees to include answering telephone and written inquiries, training, documentation and problem solving. Aids in optimizing the quality of the services provided by Customer Service. The Customer Service Department is a team of professionals devoted to improving the experience of various constituents who call to resolve issues concerning their dental benefits. Position must also effectively communicate with Customer Service Associates, group contacts, client administrators, brokers, subscribers, and providers regarding benefits and claims in order to provide them with the correct information. Provide necessary research with regard to telephone and written inquires. Communicate and utilize other departments to correct issues and provide additional research, when necessary. Reliability is also a key requirement for Customer Service team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Leadership/Management skills.
• At least five years Customer Service experience at Delta Dental
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel and Powerpoint
• Excellent written and verbal communcation skills.
• Minimal typing speed of 30 WPM.
• Organizational and analytical skills, ability to multi task and problem solve.
  Self Starter.
• Dental assistant/office experience. Will consider 5 years of Delta Dental Customer Service experience in lieu of dental office experience.
• Customer Service Certification, Through The Customers Eyes Level I and II.
