JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the management, operation, and staff of the Claims and Benefit Administration Department. This position must also ensure correct parameters are applied to claims to determine benefits according to contract agreements, processing policies, and rules on claims for payment and predeterminations, as well as ensure all related regulations requirements are met. Maintains a vital role in the claims turnaround time, quality control and production programs and audits.

Also responsible for maintaining a communication link for the IHS (Indian Health Services), and ASTHA (Absentee Shawnee Tribal Health Authority) programs, while providing efficient and excellent service, as well as accurate claims processing.

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

• Associates degree in Management, Business, Marketing, Leadership, Communications, or related field. Will consider three or more years of claims supervisory or management experience lieu of degree.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills are required in order to answer internal and external inquiries, questions or problems raised by department personnel, management, or internal and external customers, as well as provide claims processing and benefit solutions to the needs of the customers.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

• Dental terminology and experience.
• Customer Service Experience.
• Claims Processing Experience.
• Knowledge of claims processing system.
