Senior Software Engineer/ Solution Architect

DUTIES

Responsible for providing programming support and technical architecture reccomendations regarding software products and services on both the legacy Cognizant aQDen client/server system as well as development of the replacement system. Includes maintenance work as well as new project development. Also includes working on projects related to new product launches, application enhancements, interfaces with internal applications and external interfaces. Assignments will be related to designing, documenting, maintaining and building enterprise solutions withibn the defined contraints. Will also assist software engineering manager and department director in administering the software development lifecycle (SDLC) standards, software coding standards, software development and technical architecture of business solutions to ensure that project requirements meet project solutions and are within project constraints and budgets. 

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Object-Oriented Programming,, or Management Information Systems with 6-9 years experience in Software Engineering or 10-12 years experience and Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) certification.
• Candidate must possess minimum 6 years proven development experience of multi-user, n-tier application solutions in a Windows 2000, Windows, or Windows 10 enviroment and 6 years proven experience in support of Cognizant's claim adjudication application systems.
• Proficiency (5+ years) using Microsoft Office, Visio, Outlook, ASP, Visual Basic, C#, XAML, WPF, Entity Framework, .NET, Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual Source Safe, Team Foundation Service, Access, Microsoft SQL Server, HTML, and XML.

• MCSD/MCAD certification.
• Project Management ability.
• Knowledge of Javascript, ASP.Net Webforms, ASP.Net, MVC, CSS, IIS, SQL Server, SRS Reporting, Regular Expressions, CVS, Web Accessibility, EDI Transactions.
